Gary C. Grant, 61, Peru, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2017 in Fort Wayne, after suffering a stroke. His beloved family was by his side. Gary was born October 28, 1955 to the late Jesse and Donna (Webster) Grant. On March 6, 2017 Gary and wife Betty would have celebrated 40 years of marriage. Gary has been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since he was a young boy.

Gary was very well known in Miami County for his 37 years as a bus driver for Peru and Maconaquah schools. He was also a custodian at Peru schools for 26 years. Throughout his life he enjoyed being outdoors, farming and spending time with his family. He also loved collecting tractors, and listening to stories from people who restored them, while going to many tractor shows he mainly focused on Internationals.

Gary is survived by his wife of 40 years, two sons, Jerime C. Grant, Peru; Cary C. (Kaellsey Case) Grant, LaFountain; three grandchildren, Shelby Torrence; Coen Jesse Grant and Kennedy Adele Grant; four sisters, Barbara (Jim) Clements, Texas; Carol (Clay) Hoskins, Texas; Cheryl Grant, Florida; Cindy (Dale) Jakel, Kentucky; a special brother, Ben Nevin, Missouri and several nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Jason C. Grant.

Funeral services will be held at Riverview Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 11 a.m. with Bishop Rich Tucker. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Riverview Funeral Home.
