This from 21alivenews.com: WABASH COUNTY, IN (WPTA) – Police are investigating a crash involving a train and a truck in Wabash County that happened Thursday evening, the Pleasant Township Fire Rescue says.
Authorities say they were dispatched to the area north of 1400N & 200W just before 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, after receiving reports of a “vehicle accident and fire with possible entrapment near the tracks.”
According to fire rescue officials, responders were able to extricate two individuals from the truck while simultaneously fighting the fire that occurred as a result of the crash within minutes
Officials say one of the individuals was airlifted to a nearby hospital and the other was taken by an ambulance. As of right now, there is no word on the extent of injuries suffered.
