Miami County Artisan Gallery announces 3rd annual Peru Visual Arts Festival

Peru, IN – The Miami County Artisan Gallery (MCAG), located at 11 N Broadway, Peru, IN, a non-profit 501 c 3 and charity, is coordinating its Third Annual Peru Visual Arts Festival (PVAF), May 11, 2024, Peru, IN, 10 am to midnight.

This free, one day arts festival, in downtown Peru on the Square, shows why Peru, IN is the art matrix of North Central Indiana.  Come and enjoy art and food vendors, two spotlight artists, see three art competitions, visit art galleries and shops, hear four great music entertainers (one with a musical blacklight show), and participate in an artist/community black light painting of a PVAF mural. Watch artist J.O. Buffington train youth in Plein Air Painting. Enjoy the musical performance of the Time Travelers. Centrally located on the west side of the Miami County Courthouse, from Main Street to 5th Street, it is easily accessible and doable to all visitors.

At this point, the festival coordination is still underway. The Call for Artists to be vendors, the Call for People’s Choice Competition entry, and the Photography Competition entry is open yet. We are also asking for businesses to be part of the People’s Choice Competition.  For more information or to signup see peruvisualartsfestival.org.

MCAG is most grateful for the past six years and present opportunities to work with the Indiana Arts Commission, The National Endowment for the Arts, Arts United of Greater Fort Wayne, Midwest Arts – GIG, Miami County Tourism, ReDiscover Downtown Peru, Peru Community Partners, Sponsors, Donors, Art Patrons, Artists and Performing Artists, and the public in general.
