Mooney promoted to Assistant Chief of Wabash City Police Department

WABASH, IN- With the recent retirement of Bob Pilgrim, a new Assistant Chief will be taking over at the Wabash City Police Department. 

At the most recent Wabash city council meeting, several Wabash city police officers including Chief Matt Bruss were on hand as Mayor Scott Long swore in Jason Mooney to Assistant Chief. 

Mooney has over twenty-three years of law enforcement experience. He has been promoted into numerous positions throughout his career such as patrol sergeant, detective, detective sergeant, emergency response team operator, administrative captain and field training officer. 

Mooney has a supportive law enforcement family as his wife and three children are excited for his new role. The Wabash City Police Department wants to congratulate Assistant Chief Jason Mooney as they look forward to his leadership within the department for not only the employees, but also for the citizens in which they serve.
