Sarah E. Carter, 70, Marion, died at 3:08 p.m. on Monday, May 2, 2016, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born in Sweetser, IN, to the late Noah and Emma (Walker) Collins.
Sarah worked at Pierce Governor in Upland and previously at Knox Glass in Gas City. She enjoyed drawing, quilting, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Richard Dale Sherman, Jr., Williston, FL, Rodney Lynn (Rebecca) Sherman, Marion, Laura Gail Ynguanzo, Marion, and Michael Adam (Pepper) Carter, Marion; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jerry (Peggy) Collins, Joan Ancil, Janet VanDine, Glenna Carter, Rosalie (Bill) Eakins, and Ruth (James) Thomason; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; and her dog, Buster.
Also preceding her in death were a brother, John Collins; sister, Jackie Justus; and brothers-in-law, Harry Ancil, Leonard VanDine, and Paul Carter.
Family and friends may call from 12:30-1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2016, at Integrity Funeral Care, 2901 S. Washington St., Marion, IN. Services will begin at 1:30 p.m. with Dr. Tom Mansbarger officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Fairmount.
