Robert Earl Fairchild, 77, Gas City, died at 5:20 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at Twin City Health Care, Gas City. He was born in Logansport, Indiana, to the late Robert and Jessie (Toothman) Fairchild
Robert is survived by one brother, Carl Fairchild, Bloomington; nieces, Deborah (Quinten) Shipley, Shelly Fairchild (Joi Fish), and Pauline (Junior) Bucklew; nephews, Bill (Linda) Smith, Stan (Charlene) Smith, Dewayne (Julie) Fairchild, and James Gilpin; and several great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by sisters, Vera Smith and Martha Gilpin; brother, Joey Fairchild; and nephew, Richard Fairchild.
A memorial visitation will take place from 2-4 p.m. on Monday, June 20, 2016, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN. A committal service will be held at a later date at Riverside Cemetery, Gas City.
