Norma L. Blake, 86, Marion, was surrounded by family in her home when she went to be with her Lord and Savior at 3:05 p.m. on Sunday, August 28, 2016. She was born in Marion to the late Everett and Gayle (Hutcheson) Hoover. On July 3, 1947, Norma married Robert Dale Blake, and they shared 36 years together until he passed on January 15, 1984.

Norma retired as a manager from Bell Fibre and Marion Civic Theatre. The joys of her life were her Lord Jesus, her family, and her friends. Norma loved her church, where she was very actively involved and sang solos. She loved going on Christian retreats, crocheting, and playing games.

Survivors include her children, Shirley (Don) Hunt, Fort Wayne, Marsha (Howard) Wallace, Kalamazoo, Michigan, Becky Santos, Marysville, Washington, and Jon (Jan) Blake, Gas City; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and many special nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Norma was preceded in death by her son, Robert A. Blake; infant great-granddaughter, Avery Blake; brother, Eugene E. Hoover; and sister, Shirley M. Speicher Cook.

A memorial service for Norma will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 16, 2016, at Eastview Wesleyan Church, 414 N. 10th St., Gas City, IN, with Pastor Mark Atkinson officiating.

Arrangements are entrusted to Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City.
