Mary Rebecca Rittenhouse, 74, of Warren, IN, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 7:09 PM on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 with her family by her side. She passed away at the Hospice Home in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born on Tuesday, January 26, 1943, in Grant County, IN. She married Robert Wayne Rittenhouse on Saturday, June 3, 1961 in Warren, IN; together they’ve shared almost 56 years of marriage to one another. Mary was a 1961 graduate of Jackson Center High School. She was the Town Clerk of Warren from 1972-1984 and worked for Crain Ford in Warren for 31 years as the Office Manager. Mary enjoyed traveling with her family and especially going to Gatlinburg, TN and Frankenmuth, MI. Her and Bob squared danced for many years with the Scatter 8’s in Bluffton. She was a longtime member of the Warren Church of Christ.
Loving survivors include: Husband- Robert Wayne Rittenhouse, Warren, IN, Son – Kevin (Carolyn) Rittenhouse, Warren, IN, Daughter – Karen (Brian) Pinkerton, Warren, IN, Daughter – Kelly (Nick) Gray, Warren, IN, Sister – Margaret Lee, Warren, IN, Sister – Nanda Perry, Warren, IN, Brother – Howard Moriarity, Bluffton, IN, Brother – Kenny Moriarity, Geneva, IN, 8 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her: Father – Ora Moriarity, Mother – Mable (Herring) Moriarity and Brothers- Russell & Harlen Moriarity.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Warren Church of Christ 302 North Wayne Street Warren on Friday, March 31, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and from 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
A service to celebrate Mary’s life will be at Warren Church of Christ at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 1, 2017, with viewing held one hour before the service. Pastors Ethan Stivers, Scott E. Nedberg and Gerald Moreland are officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Warren.
