William “Bill” L. Brass, 75, of Fairmount, Indiana, died Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Marion General Hospital.
Bill was born on January 16, 1943, in Marion, Indiana, son of the late Forrest A. and Anna E. (Ellyson) Brass. Bill served his country in the Army for 20 years, retiring on February 1, 1987. He married Mary Thien and they enjoyed 26 years of marriage. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Gas City and he enjoyed bowling and shopping.
Bill is survived by his wife Mary; four children, Christina (Gary) Winslow, Jupiter, Florida, Jessica Brass, Brownstown, William (Sun) Brass, Korea, and Vincent (Amanda) Brass, FL; and 16 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana, where a visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, from 3:00-7:00 p.m. A funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 325 E. North A St., Gas City, Indiana, with Father Weisenberger officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery.
