William C. Streib

William “Bill” C. Streib, 86, Alvaton, KY, formally of Marion, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2022, at The Medical Center, Bowling Green, KY. Bill was born in Miami Co., Indiana, on Monday, April 15, 1935, to Robert and Susie (Purcell) Streib. He married the love of his life, Elizabeth Floyd, and she preceded him in 2005.

Bill was a retired electrician from General Motors and a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving as a machine repairman on the USS Kenneth Whiting. He was an amateur ham radio operator with the call sign K9CHS. Bill’s strong spirit showed through by surviving cancer and helping his wife battle her own. He had a large group of friends, always helpful, and never met a stranger.

Survivors include his son, Gary L. (Glenda) Streib of Marion; two sisters, Madonna (Ron) Guffey and Carole Clos; three precious grandchildren, Renee Streib, Jennifer (Curtis) Burns, and Jeffery Henline, Jr.; two great-grandchildren; two nieces, Teresa (Jan) Walters and Nicole (John) Williams; and nephew, Michael (Chris) Floyd.

He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; two sisters, Rose Olson and Sheryl Streib; and brother, Raymond Streib.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, March 18, 2022, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave, Marion.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Bill’s life will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Jason Smith officiating. Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory in Marion.
