WABASH,IN Although the Wabash County 4-H Fair doesn’t officially begin until Sunday, the Wabash County Horse & Pony Show began Friday morning.
Animals in the Mare and Pony Mare categories were first in the show arena.
Alexis Rohrer ‘s mare, D-Flawless, received Grand Champion Pony Mare honors. Reserve Champion Pony Mare went to Seth Teague ‘ s mare, April.
Meanwhile, Shy Linden Chex, showed by Trinity Bever, received Grand Champion Mare honors. Marley, showed by Bailey Michel, received Reserve Champion Mare honors.
The show was delayed early in the Gelding competition when one of the animals suffered a medical emergency. The arena was cleared and all 4-H members were ordered to the indoor show arena while the animal was tended to. It was decided to delay the resumption of the show until noon.
