Visit Wabash County announces Margie Hostetler’s retirement

Wabash, Ind. – Visit Wabash County announced that Margie Hostetler, Visitor Services, will be retiring on February 28th.

Hostetler has been an integral part of growing the merchants and artisans featured from Wabash County in the Welcome Center to well over 30. Retail sales have also increased over the past 3 and a half years because of Hostetler’s attention to detail and knack for keeping merchandise fresh. Her other responsibilities included greeting and assisting visitors, visitor guide distribution, rotating window displays, uploading events to the website, as well as many other tasks.

“Margie has served Visit Wabash County with dedication and great care for the last three and a half years,” said Christine Flohr, executive director of tourism.  “I wish her all the happiness and enjoyment that retirement can bring.  I will miss her greatly.”

During her time, Hostetler has also planned and executed three Wabash County artist receptions that honored new pieces painted by Terry Pulley, Susan Ring, and Erika Ford. Prints of each exclusive piece of artwork are for sale in the Welcome Center.

“I have enjoyed meeting and building relationships with people throughout Wabash County, as well as visitors across the US and from other countries,” said Hostetler, Visitor Services for Visit Wabash County. “Working with the staff at Visit Wabash County has offered many valuable experiences that I will always cherish.  What a fun place to work! I am looking forward to spending time with my husband through our ministry at Faith Harvest Fellowship, as well as gardening, and being with family.”

Visit Wabash County would like to invite the public to stop by the Visit Wabash County Welcome Center (located at 221 S. Miami St, Wabash) Friday, February 28th anytime between 12:30pm to 2:30pm to wish Hostetler a happy retirement.
