Vince Allen Drennen

Beloved son, Vince Allen Drennen, 19, of rural southern Wells County entered into his Eternal home in Heaven on March 26, 2018. Vince was driving home from his third shift job when he fell asleep, had an automobile accident and never awoke.

Vince is deeply missed by his close family, parents. Rex A and Vivian R (Steffen) Drennen, his older sister, Vanessa Rose Drennen, and younger brothers Vaughn Robert Drennen and Valiant Brooks Drennen.

Vince was a member of Life Community Church in Bluffton, Indiana and had proclaimed JESUS CHRIST as his SAVIOR.  Vince worked at Micromatic in Berne, Indiana. He was getting his Journeyman’s card in machining at Ivy Tech in Fort Wayne. Vince was a 2017 graduate of Southern Wells High School. Vince enjoyed the farm cats he helped raise at Pumpkin Kingdom LLC, the family farm. He also raised chickens for 4-H. He was a 10 year Wells County 4-H member. Vince had been an active member of the Southern Wells FFA, receiving many awards including the Hoosier Farmer Degree. Vince also enjoyed playing the Baritone in the Southern Wells Band for 7 years, pep band being his favorite.

Vince was working to restore his 1979 Plymouth Trail Duster, was a hunter, avid gun enthusiast and enjoyed building and riding motorized vehicles.

Vince is also missed by his grandma, Betty L. Steffen and grandpa, David D. Tarr, nine aunts and uncles, 15 first-cousins, eight great-aunts and numerous other cousins. Vince was preceded in death by all his natural grandparents, Warren Vincent and Edith Lucile (Spaulding) Drennen, Robert Gene Steffen, and Carol Jean (Riggenbach) Tarr.

Visitation will be held at Life Community Church in Bluffton. Monday 1-8pm, Tuesday 12-1 pm with funeral immediately following. Pastor Steve Surbaugh will officiate. Gifts may be given in honor of Vince to Southern Wells FFA, Southern Wells Music Boosters, or Wells County 4-H Foundation.
