James E. “Jim”  Dickey

James E. “Jim”  Dickey, 74, formerly of Fairmount, died unexpectedly Saturday, March 24, 2018 at his Milan, Indiana residence.

Jim was born in Marion, Indiana on September 17, 1943, son of the late Ralph Dickey and Effie McNutt Dickey.  He was a 1962 graduate of Mississinewa High School.  He retired May 1, 2000 from Dana where he was a mechanist and group leader.  Jim married Bobbie Jo Howell in March 30, 1979.  He was excited about celebrating his 39 wedding anniversary.   Jim is a member of the Fairmount Masonic Lodge #635 and a former member of the Fairmount and Milan Lions Clubs, Mizpah Shrine, Grant County Shriners Scooter Patrol, the Scottish Rite Valley of Ft. Wayne, and the Fairmount Town Council.

Jim is survived by his wife, Bobbie, daughters, Laura (Rich) Bosio, Boothbay Maine, Jo-ell (Charles) Williams, and Randi Titus, Milan, IN, grandchildren, Breana Chenoweth, Austin Williams, Andrew Bosio, and Hunter Gilbert, two great-grandchildren, Kadance Williams and Bo Chenoweth brother, Bobby Jack Lewis, Fairmount, and Special Niece, Vicki Leach Phillips.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Leach and brothers, Doyle and Lester “Gene” Lewis.

Arrangements are being handled by the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana where there will be a visitation on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 from 12- 3 PM.  A Masonic Service will begin at 3PM immediately followed by the funeral with Dr. Tom Mansbarger officiating.  Burial will be at Park Cemetery, Fairmount, Indiana

Memorial contributions may be made to the Masonic Lodge building fund or the Marion-Grant County Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
