Vickie S. Foy

Vickie S. Foy, 66, Marion, stepped into the presence of God after a long battle with leukemia at 4:38 am on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Franciscan Health Indianapolis. 

She was born in Muncie, Indiana, on Sunday, October 23, 1955, to Robert and Allie (Worley) Fulton. On August 16, 1981, she married William “Bill” L. Foy, who survives.  

Vickie graduated from Eastbrook High School (1974) and attended Ivy Tech Community College. She was a manager with K-Mart Stores for several years and was a supervisor in the Cutting Department for five years with Butterworth Industries. She was a Patriot Guard Rider, life member of the VFW and American Legion Auxiliary, Indiana Sheriff’s Association, Old Hog Motorcycle Club, Moose Lodge, and National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association. 

Vickie enjoyed fishing with her husband in Minnesota, riding her motorcycle, and participating in the Mississinewa 1812. She was a certified cannoniere. Vickie also enjoyed embroidery, reading, word searches, and playing practical jokes. She was witty and had quick comebacks. The more tired she got, the quicker she became. 

A thank you to everyone who took care of her, and to Debbie and Jeff for all their help. Thanks to St. Franciscan Bone Morrow Transplant Clinic and Unit, as well as to the doctors and nurses who did an excellent job taking care of her.  

In addition to Vickie’s husband, survivors include her sons, David A. (Lisa) Foy of Somerset and Daniel Ray Foy of Jamestown; grandsons, Chas Foy, Wyatt Foy, Wyatt Secrest, and Graeson Secrest; granddaughters, Shelby Foy, CaiLynn Beil, Kylie Beil, Sydney Foy, Avery Secrest, Sadie Secrest, Braelyn Miller, and Kaitlyn Emery; great-grandson, Logan Bradley; great-granddaughter, Saylor Emery; sister, Yvonne Riffil of Sweetser; nephew, Eric Walker; and niece, Melissa (Blake) Shock. 

She was preceded in death by her parents. 

The family will receive visitors from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN. 

A funeral service to celebrate Vickie’s life will begin at 11:30 am on Thursday, August 25, 2022, at First Church of God, 450 W. 50th St., Marion, IN. Pastor Johnathan Secrest will be officiating with burial following at Grant Memorial Park.
