Velma L. Ratliff, 90, of Van BurenIN, passed away at 4:55 AM on Monday, August 14, 2017 at UniversityNursing Center inUplandIN.  She was born on Friday, July 01, 1927, in Grant County, IN.  Velma was a graduate of Marion High School. She worked for 35 years at RCA in Marionbefore retiring. She was very involved in the Hanfield United Methodist church, where she served on the Senagers and United Methodist Women organization. Velma loved jig-saw and crossword puzzles, swimming at the YMCA, camping at Salamonie and traveling. She will be missed dearly by her family.

 

Loving survivors include: Son – Rex Ratliff, TX, Daughter – Sandy Haynes, Dillman, IN, Son-Mark (Cathy) Ratliff, TN, Daughter-in-law – Roberta Ratliff, Upland, IN, Brothers – Bob Clark, Indianapolis, IN & Carl Clark, Marion, IN, 30 Grandchildren and several Great Grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by her: Father – George Clark, Mother – Lucille (Barton) Clark, Husband – Rexford Ratliff, Sons – David Ratliff & Randy Ratliff, Sisters – Mary Ferguson, Barbara Edwards, Phyllis Milroy and Brother – Floyd Clark.

 

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Ferguson & Glancy Funeral Home 201 N Main Street Van Buren on Thursday, August 17, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A service to celebrate Velma’s life will follow at 1:00 PM with Pastor Gary Miller officiating.  Interment will follow next to her husband, at Gardens of Memory in rural Marion.
