United Way of Miami County Applications are Ready

MIAMI COUNTY, Ind. – United Way of Miami County is accepting new applications for agencies wishing to receive funds from the 2017 Fall Campaign, payable 2018. Applications can be picked up at the United Way office located in the Community Resource Center at 13 East Main Street, Peru, and are due back no later than noon Jan. 26, 2017. To be eligible, any new agency must have a 501c3 status and provide social service programs that benefit the citizens of Miami County.

 

This year’s volunteer committee is comprised of members of the United Way Board of Directors and other citizens of our community. Applying agencies will be expected to answer and explain how their agency fits into the United Way’s mission statement. The United Way of Miami County mission statement is: to provide direction and accountability to promote education, health, and financial independence.

 

After the question and answer sessions the Committee will then make recommendations to the United Way of Miami County Board of Directors. The Board will vote at the regular April meeting on which agencies will receive funds from the 2017 Fall Campaign. The amount that each agency will receive is determined after the Fall Campaign is completed, based on donor pledges. April 2017 – Agency determination

January 2018 – Funding for each agency is determined based on after the campaign closes on December 31, 2017.
