Timothy “Tim” Ray Musick

Timothy “Tim” Ray Musick, 62, Jonesboro, passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.  He was born on July 26, 1956, in Marion to the late Otis and Donna (Moreland) Musick.

Tim attended Mississinewa High School and graduated in May of 1975.  The next weekend, he married his high school sweetheart, Robin Presnall, who survives, and then moved to North Carolina where he was stationed in the U.S. Army.  Tim served in the Army for three years before moving back to Grant County and working up to retirement with the Marion V.A. Hospital.  He and Robin have two daughters, Gwyn (Abram) Slater, from Upland, and Jeryl (Bill) Mitchell, from Fairmount.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, arrowhead hunting, and teaching his grandchildren gun safety.  His prized possessions were his four grandchildren, Aedyn and Braelyn Slater, and Emma and Cole Mitchell.  He loved attending their events and teaching them to be ornery.  Many times they were playing board games, target shooting, bowling, riding the 4-wheeler, or watching old western movies.

Surviving along with his wife, kids, and grandkids are his mother-in-law, Virginia (Dillie) Presnall, Warren; special aunts, Margret Holloway, Fort Wayne, and Louise Smithly, Gas City; brothers-in-law, Mike (Sherry) Presnall and Mark (Jodi) Presnall, both from Jonesboro; sisters-in-law, Randi (Joe) Thompson, Muncie, Rhonda (Hank) Cincere, Tennessee, and Shelly (Mike) Row, Albany; brother, Roger (Penny) Musick; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.  He is also survived by his long-time Army buddy and kidney donor, Duncan (Teri) Keogh, who lives in Deer Park, Washington.

In addition to his parents, Tim is preceded in death by his brother, Carl Musick; father-in-law, Louie Presnall; and nephew, Scott Musick.

Friends and family may gather from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 9, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.

Services to celebrate Tim’s life will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, August 10, 2018, at the funeral home.  Pastor Kim Holloway will be officiating with burial following at Marion National Cemetery.
