Visitation will be from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Friday, July 6, 2018 at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana. Funeral services will immediately follow at 12 p.m. Friday at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Pastor Tom Bradley officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Huntington.

Sharon was born on August 24, 1945 in Belle Fountain, Indiana, the daughter of Owen and Ada V. (Wallace) Watkins. She graduated from Geneva High School in 1963 and married Clyde Holmes on March 28, 1965 at the First Church of the Nazarene in Berne. Sharon was a homemaker and a member of Etna Avenue Wesleyan Church in Huntington. She loved to sew, crochet, and knit.
Survivors include her husband Clyde Holmes of Huntington, daughters Christina (Lynn) Minick of Russiaville, Indiana and Sandra (Scott) Pinney and Patricia (Kevin) Mellendorf, both of Huntington, a son, Kevin Holmes of Huntington, a brother John (Mathilde) Watkins of Brookville, Ohio, sisters Virginia Robinson of Venice, Florida and Linda Watkins of Indianapolis, five grandchildren, and a great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Jane Buckingham, and brothers Richard Watkins and Lowell Watkins.
