Samuel LeRoy Wilson, 75, passed away on September 19, 2018 at his residence in Peru, Indiana.
He was born in Peru on February 18, 1943 to John Charles and Beulah (McGue) Wilson. He married Dianna Arwood on September 21, 1963, who survives him.
Sam retired from Chrysler after 30 years of service. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed bird watching and sitting outdoors with his beloved Boxer dogs. He spent much of his time playing games with his family and keeping up on current news events.
He is also survived by his children: Tony Wilson (wife Dona Lamb Wilson), Matthew Wilson (wife Sheila Ragan Wilson), and Katrina (Wilson) Baker (husband Jim Baker). In addition, Sam has 8 grandchildren: Chas Wilson, Brook Wilson, Danny Fisher, Addaley Baker, Cossette Wilson, Emma Baker, Hannah Baker and Sam Baker. He has 4 great-grandchildren.
Sam was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Mount Hope Cemetery, Peru, Indiana.
