Ruth Ellen Pace

Ruth Ellen Pace, 98, was born in Geneva, Indiana, on Thursday November 20, 1924. The weather may have been frigid with near zero temperatures, but she warmed the heart of her parents, Rufus and Mary (Binegan) Stauffer, her older brothers, Gene and Hugh Stauffer, and big sister, Jessie (Stauffer) King, all deceased. She attended and graduated from Geneva High School.

On Sunday, September 7, 1947, Ruth wed the love of her life, Curtis Pace, Jr. He preceded her in death after 57 years of marriage. The loving couple raised two boys at their home in Marion, Indiana–Michael Pace, surviving, and Rocky Pace, deceased. Ruth worked in production at RCA.

In addition to her son, Mike, survivors include six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews, all of whom love and adore her.

Ruth had a servant’s heart and greatly enjoyed being outdoors. She gardened in her flowerbed, camped and fished in Michigan with her family, and took long walks with her best friend and neighbor, Beverly. She was a member of CPC Sympathy Club, RCA Sympathy Club, and Born Church.
