Ruth Elizabeth Snider, 96, was born at home to Dewey and Mary Wimmer in Hartford City, Indiana, on November 20, 1926. Ruth was the 5th of 13 children, all who have preceded her in death.
Ruth was raised and graduated from high school in Hartford City. In 1946, she married Wayne Wagner and, from that union, had Teresa Wagner Voris (Frank) and Malinda Wagner Culbertson Wyatt. Mr. Wagner passed in 1948. In 1954, she married Richard Snider and, from that union, had Ann Snider Goodykoontz (James) and Steven and Brian (Sarah) Snider. Richard passed in 2011 after 57 years of marriage. She and Richard operated Snider Amoco for 40 years before their retirement.
Ruth is survived by 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. She was a beautiful and caring woman who loved God and her family. Ruth was actively involved in Westside Assembly and then later Healing Heart Church. She passed at home surrounded by her children and close family following a short illness.
The family will receive visitors from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Healing Heart Church, 2701 S. Western Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the visitation, a Celebration of Life service will begin at 4:00 pm.
