Rosella Andrews

Rosella (Harmon) Andrews, 97, Marion, passed away at 12:54 am on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, in her residence at Suite Living Assisted Living Community. Born on March 2, 1924, the fifth of seven children born to Glenn S. and Laura G. (Phillippe) Harmon, Rosella was a lifelong resident of Grant County. On October 5, 1940, she married Max G. Andrews and together they raised a family on their farm on Bradford Pike, east of Marion. They were married 53 years before he preceded her in death on December 18, 1993.

Rosella was a hard-working homemaker, farm wife, and mother. She was a school lunch employee for seventeen years for Marion Community Schools, serving at the former Roosevelt School. In 1999, Rosella moved to a small home near Jalapa and enjoyed a quiet life there until declining health made her move to assisted living necessary.

Rosella attended Grace Community Church for many years and was a founding member of Jalapa Chapel in 2007. She enjoyed helping at the church, especially doing much of the cleaning, as long as she was able. After church attendance became difficult, she greatly enjoyed watching Christian programming and her favorite pastors on television. Rosella loved God and was a faithful prayer warrior over her long life, praying over many people daily.

Surviving are her three children, Vicki Korporal of Swayzee, Rod (Niecy) Andrews of Van Buren, and Deena (Robert) Finney of Marion; five grandchildren, Maria (Rich) Adams of Marion, Les (Cory) Korporal of Marion, Andy (Stephanie) Korporal of Van Buren, Jeannie (Oliver) Haste of Coatesville, and Joy (Gregory) Beghtel of Anderson; eleven great-grandchildren, Michael Glaser, Kayla Thomas, Cale Korporal, Derek Ralston, Drew Korporal, Jacob Haste, Max Haste, Olivia Haste, Lila Beghtel, Lena Beghtel, and Luke Beghtel; ten great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, Rosella was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Darroll Korporal; five brothers, Bill, Glenn (Babe), David, Ken, and Tom Harmon; and one sister, Delight Hewitt.

The family will receive visitors from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Avenue, Marion, IN.
