Carl L. Rhodes, age 81 of Marion passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021 at Rolling Meadows Health and Rehabilitation in LaFontaine.
Carl was born September 24, 1940 the son of the late Ernest and Kathleen (Speight) Rhodes. He married Janice L. Seward on January 31, 1959, and she preceded him in death on August 1, 2021.
He worked 32 years at Dana Corporation as a machinist, and also worked for American Pharmaceutical delivering medical supplies. Carl worked hard all of his life and after he retired, he liked to hang around with all of his friends. He enjoyed wood-working and mowing his yard and several other peoples yards.
He is survived by two daughters, Connie White of Marion and Carla (Terry) Nettleton of Converse; a brother, Ernest (Dianne) Rhodes of Parker City; two sisters, Phyllis (David) Willman of Hartford City and Karen (Tom) Anderson of Mesa, Arizona; 2 grandchildren, Larry Pence of Amboy and Jeremy (Michelle) White of Russiaville; and three great-grandchildren, Christian White, Chanelle White and Blake Pence.
He was also preceded in death by his grandmother, Icy Speight.
Visitation will take place from 12:00 (Noon) to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Tom Mansbarger officiating.
Burial will follow funeral services in Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
