WABASH and MIAMI COUNTIES,Indiana — The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced that bridge maintenance will begin on SR 13 over the Wabash River between South Miami Street and Columbus Street in the city of Wabash beginning today and continuing through early August. The work will be done daily weather permitting. The work includes bridge joint repair amount other items. Motorists can expect delays and flaggers in the area.
Also the Department has announced work beginning on SR 218 in Miami County this coming Monday, June 20th and will allow workers to replace several small structures and a box culvert. The closure is between US 31 and CR 50/East Strawtown Pike. During the project, SR 218 will be closed for small sections of roadway as workers complete various aspects of the construction. This is a $1.7 million project and should be entirely finished by early September.
