We host a blood drive every 8 weeks and have since December 2016. To date we have collected 451 units of blood which is an average of 41 units per event. That blood has helped 1443 people who might need blood on a regular basis or some people who were otherwise having a very bad day. It only takes about an hour of your time, which includes the 5 minutes to draw the blood, to donate one unit of whole blood. That unit is divided into three parts and could help as many as three people.
If you aren’t already donating blood, please consider becoming a blood donor. It is the easiest way you will ever find to possibly save a life!
