Rena Mae Hueston, 85, Marion, died at 10:10 a.m. on Friday, August 26, 2016, in her home. She was born in St. Augustine, Florida, to the late Walter and Gladys (Kent) Long. She married Ceicel E. Hueston on December 31, 1946, and he preceded her in death on December 12, 1984.
Rena worked as an assistant manager of housekeeping for Hotel Sheraton in downtown Marion. She was very friendly and likeable, and she loved to talk. In her later years, Rena loved being a Florida snowbird and working her word search puzzles.
Survivors include her children, Michael (Laura Yates) Hueston, Marion, and Kathy Hueston, Auburn; four grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother, George Long, Sr., Marion; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Rena was preceded in death by her siblings, Margaret Alderson, Ina Hueston, Clyde Long, and Walter H. Long, Jr.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 30, 2016, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Tom Mansbarger officiating. Entombment will follow at Gardens of Memory.
