Paul Jean Sheetz, 67, Marion, went to be with the Lord at 2:44 a.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at Parkview Regional Hospital in Fort Wayne.

Born in Marion to Robert and Dora June (Evans) Sheetz, Paul was a lifelong resident of Grant County. He graduated from Oak Hill High School in 1967 and was a member of Roseburg Church of God. He recently worked at Dollar General Distribution as a fork lift operator and previously at Hartson-Kennedy and Owens-Illinois. Paul was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed watching baseball, basketball, football, and racing.

He is survived by his daughter, Angela Dennis, Upland; siblings, Janice (Buford) Wilkes, Gas City, Mary Alice (Buzz) Frazier, Marion, Harry (Lora) Sheetz, Marion, and Brenda Sheetz, Marion; sister-in-law, Janet Sheetz, Van Buren; grandchildren, Michael, Caleb, Timothy, Bobby, Brett, and Bethany; five nieces and nephews, Keith, Bart, Ruthanne, Sandra, and Michael; great-nieces and nephews, Samantha, Jacob, and Luke; and Robert Bridenthal.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, David Sheetz; and his niece, Laura Lee Wilkes.

The family will receive visitors from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, May 19, 2017, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.

Services to celebrate Paul’s life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Fulda officiating. Burial will follow at Grant Memorial Park.
