Patty A. Martin, 75, of Swayzee, passed away at 6:42 am on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Marion Health. She was born in Kokomo, Indiana, on Thursday, March 24, 1949, to James Barger and Mildred Shull. She was married to Ronald Martin, who preceded her in death on March 6, 2023.
Patty graduated from Jefferson Township High School and went on to receive her associate’s degree from Ivy Tech Community College. She was an insurance agent for 15 years with Norris Insurance. Patty enjoyed quilting, sewing, and watching her zombie movies. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Patty is survived by her children, Jim (Betty) Ringhiser of Logan, OH, Annette (Chris Woody) Shaw of Marion, Lisa Martin of Marion, Tracie Jones of Marion, Jay (Lorna) Martin of Wabash, and Brandy (Aaron) Bragg of Marion; grandchildren, Corey, Shelby, Cody, Jessie, Adam, Abby, Joshua, Kori Lynn, Olivia, Parker, Alex, Landon, Ensley, Shayne, Sara, Mason, Jess, Olivia, Brian, Ayden, Maddie, Memphis, and Xavian; and sister, Vicki.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Lisa Ringhiser; and grandson, Zachary Diskey.
Inurnment will take place at 12:30 pm on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Thrailkill Cemetery in Swayzee. Pastor Mick Simpkins will be officiating.
