Patricia Gayle Reece Scott (Pat) was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world on September 1, 2023, at the age of 76.
Pat was born to David and Polly (Cook) Reece on January 24th, 1947, in Lebanon, Tennessee. She spent most of her childhood in Marion. After graduating from Marion High School in 1965, Pat married the love of her life, Timothy Scott. Together they moved to Nashville, Tennessee where they raised their three daughters: Pam, Tammy, and Kim. They returned to Marion in 1995.
Pat was a brilliant artist; she loved to paint and was very creative in everything she did. The greatest joy of her life was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her whole world revolved around her family. Her faith in the Lord was strong and she instilled those same beliefs in her family. She was a devoted wife to Tim for 58 years.
When she wasn’t spending time with family, she truly enjoyed playing cards, bingo, or trying her luck at the casino. She also loved gardening and watching hummingbirds.
Pat is survived by her husband, Timothy Scott of Marion; daughters, Pam (Danny) Lane of Nashville, Tennessee, Tammy (Ronald) Smith of Marion, Kim Scott of Gas City; grandchildren, David (Danielle Baldwin) Smith of Gas City, Katie (Amber Richards) Smith of Gas City, Kaylee (Cody Dennis) Scott of Gas City, Sam Lane of Nashville, Tennessee, Grace (John Womble) Lane of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Alexis (Tre Luster) Scott of Marion, Timothy Scott of Lake City, Florida, Olivia Lane of Nashville, Tennessee; great grandchildren, Graysen, Reece, Matilee, Presley, Noble, Rylee, Kashton; sister Robyn (Loren) Olson of Mesa, Arizona; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive visitors from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
An additional hour of visitation will take place from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 7, 2023, followed by a funeral Service to celebrate Pat’s life at 1:00 pm, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service North Chapel with Pastor Mick Simpkins officiating with burial following at Estates of Serenity.
