Monte V. Reese, 66, of Ossian, IN, a former Montpelier resident passed away at 8:01 PM on Wednesday, October 03, 2018 at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born on Thursday, April 24, 1952, in Hartford City, IN. He married Sandy (Wyrick) Wells in November 2014, in Ossian, IN. Monte was a 1970 graduate of Blackford High School. His was in the first class to graduate at the new Blackford High School. He served in the National Guards from 1971-1978 and reenlisted from 1979-1983. He owned M&S Enterprises with his wife where they made custom engraved signs and plaques. He had worked at Franklin Electric in Bluffton, IN. for 30 years and also worked at Auto Zone, Bluffton, IN. Monte enjoyed fishing, and watching Nascar & NFL football. His biggest joy was working in his shop making wood crafts and signs for others. He had two dogs, Bubba & Chico who he loved very much.
Loving Survivors Include his Wife – Sandy Reese, Ossian, IN, Step Son – J.R. (Sarah) Wells, Ft. Wayne, IN, Granddaughter – Avery Keeran, and Brother – Gary (Evelyn) Reese, Marion, IN.
He was preceded in death by his Father – Hansel O. Reese, Mother – Fayma D. (Thornburgh) Durnil, Step Father- Archie W. Durnil, and Brother – H. Dee Reese.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home 109 W Windsor St Montpelier on Monday, October 08, 2018 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
A service to celebrate his life will be at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home at 3:00 PM on Monday, October 08, 2018 with Rev. Dewey Zent officiating. Interment will follow in the Brookside Memorial Park in Montpelier.
