Lula D. “Nanny” Powell, 87, Marion, passed away at 2:37 a.m. on Thursday, October 4, 2018, at Marion General Hospital. She was born in Bath County, Kentucky, to the late Estil and Mina Alice (Hunt) Warren. She married Robert Powell, and he preceded her in death on November 3, 2009.
Lula retired from Foster-Forbes after 28 years of service. Her family was her life, and she loved spending time with them as much as possible.
She is survived by her nephew, Howard Warren, Marion; niece, Jenifer Warren, Marion; great-nieces and great-nephews, Brandy Revennaugh, Hannah Warren, Skyler Warren, and Connor Warren, all from Marion; several great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; brothers, Thomas Estil Warren, Kentucky, and Hanley Scott Warren, Marion; and sister, Ruby Vice, Kentucky.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Anna Louise.
In accordance with Lula’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.
