Michael Carl Leese, 75, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 1:55 am, Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Wellbrooke of Wabash. He was born on August 27, 1947, in Paintsville, Kentucky, to James Leese and Anne Louise (Blevins) Grubb, but was raised by his grandparents, Irene and Dutch Brownfield.
Mike was a 1965 graduate of Huntington High School in Huntington, Ohio. He was a US Marine Corp veteran, and served in the Vietnam War. Mike married Brenda Kay Conley in Wabash on March 5, 1983; she died December 4, 2005. He worked for Swingline in Wabash and Chicago, and also was a Schwanns Delivery driver. Mike enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by three children, Rev. Jeff (Cindy) Lawson of St Cloud, Minnesota, Traci (Greg) Thompson of Wabash and Mikki (Steve) Vinkovich of Circleville, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Zachary (Andrea) Lawson and Joshua (Lisa) Lawson, both of St. Cloud, Bailey Thompson and Kennedy Brackett, both of Wabash, Nicole (Mike) Turner, Samantha (Eric) Sturgill, and Jake (Lauren) Vinkovich, all of Circleville; 13 great grandchildren; sister, Carol (Butch) Adams of Circleville; sister-in-law, Debra Beeks and brother-in-law, Terry Hamilton, both of Wabash. He was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Brownfield.
