Jean Martin, 86, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 8:00 pm, Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at her home. She was born on June 25, 1936, in North Manchester, Indiana, to Lorin “Dutch” Eubank and Hilda (Leedy) Putman.
Jean was a 1954 graduate of Noble Township High School in Wabash County. She worked at the Fort Wayne State Hospital 18 years, and was also the manager of a group home 11 years. Jean was a member of the Wabash Church of the Brethren. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jean enjoyed playing sports, she was in softball and bowling leagues for many years. She also enjoyed playing bingo, and was an avid Purdue Boilermaker and Chicago Cubs fan.
She is survived by four children, Kim (Paula) Martin, Kelly Martin, and Keith (Linda) Martin all of Wabash, and Kristi (Max) Lengacher of Harlan, Indiana, six grandchildren, Heather Hannan of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Melanie Martin of Wabash, Kaley (Devon) Waterman and Ryan Lengacher both of Harlan, Kevin Martin of Wabash, and Amanda (Justin) Younce of Roann, Indiana, five great-grandchildren, two brothers, Ted (Roberta) Eubank of Wabash, and Don Eubank of Montana. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor Doug Veal officiating. Friends may call 3:00 – 7:00 pm, Friday, June 23, 2023, at the funeral home.
