Melinda R. Reece, 77, of Warren, IN, passed away at 8:30 AM on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Signature Health & Rehabilitation in Bluffton, IN. She was born on Saturday, November 22, 1941, in Huntington County, IN. Melinda was a 1959 graduate of Warren high school. After high school she joined the Army where she was a part of their nursing association. She met her former husband while in the Army and together to two traveled around for 20 years. Melinda enjoyed crocheting, cooking, crosswords, history and coffee. She was a former waitress and school cook.
Loving survivors include: Son – Bruce Reece, Warren, IN, Son – Terry Reece, Odessa , TX, Grandchildren, Bruce Reece II, Huntington, IN, Brandon Reece, Warren, IN, Michael Reece Odessa, TX, Melinda Reece, Odessa, TX, and 5 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her: Father – Claude J Williamson, Mother – Mary A Searles Williamsom, Brother – Fancis I. “Butch” Williamson, and Granddaughter, Brandi Reece.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Glancy – H. Brown & Son Funeral Home 203 N Matilda St. Warren on Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A service to celebrate her life will be at Glancy – H. Brown & Son Funeral Home at 2:00 PM on Friday, viewing will be held one hour before the service starting at 1 PM. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Warren.
