Mary D. Pratt, 96, Marion, went to be with the Lord at 9:10 pm on Friday, July 28, 2023, at Marion Health. She was born in Cedar Springs, Michigan, on Monday, February 7, 1927, to Lester and Hildah (Phelps) Parsons. On June 6, 1947, she married Benjamin Ford Pratt, and he preceded her in death.
Mary graduated from Cedar Springs High School and was the payroll supervisor at Bell Fibre. She was a member of the Sympathy Club at GM, member at Grace United Methodist Church, and historian for the Women’s Department Club of Marion. Mary loved gardening and working among her flowers, cooking, and baking for her family. She was devoted to her family and did all she could to assist in any way she could. Mary also loved to travel and had enjoyed winters in Mesa, Arizona, for several years.
Survivors include her children, Brenda (John) Page of Neenah, WI, Ben (Pamela) Pratt of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Kim (Mike) Moorman of Converse; granddaughters, Abbey (Travis) Stoutenborough of West Lafayette, Allison (fiancée Austin Sundstrom) Page of Appleton, WI, Lauren Pratt of West Hartford, CT, and Leslie (fiancée Kevin Erikson) Pratt of Newport Beach, CA; grandson, Adam (Brittany) Moorman of Brownsburg; great-granddaughters, McKenzie, Tinley, and Ruby; and great-grandson, Benjamin.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and her brother, J. B. Parsons.
A graveside service for Mary will take place at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Courtland Cemetery, 10350 Myers Lake Ave., NE, Rockford, MI 49341.
