Martha Jo Horner, 87, Marion, passed away at 9:00 pm on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Colonial Oaks Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Wednesday, November 11, 1936, to Merl “Bake” and Madeline (Woods) Ross.
Martha Jo graduated from Eastern High School in 1954 and worked in the offices of many local businesses including the office of Dr.Dreiman, DDS. She really enjoyed her family, and they were everything to her.
Survivors include her sons, Franklin (Jenny) Horner of Marion, Mark Horner of Converse, and Gary (Jane) Horner of Bunker Hill; grandchildren, Adam Horner of Lexington, KY, Kara Horner of Lexington, KY, Amy (Scott) Bessin of Lexington, KY, Angela Horner of Converse, Megan (Adam) Weaver of Amboy, Justin (Jayme) Horner of Kokomo, and Sara Badger of Greentown; and many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Merl “Bake” and Madeline Ross; daughter-in-law, Denise Horner; grandson-in-law, Seth Badger; and great-granddaughter, Maryn Jane Badger.
The family will receive visitors from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Martha Jo’s life will begin at 2:00 pm with Rev. Gretchen Schneider officiating.
