Maria Sylvia Trevino

Maria Sylvia Trevino, 59, Marion, passed away at 8:22 am on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, on Saturday, May 2, 1964, to Jesus “Chito” Garcia and Maria (Beneavidez) Guetierrez.  On February 12, 2003, she married Domingo Trevino, and he survives.

Maria attended Marion Community Schools and worked as a CNA for 15-20 years. After retiring from CNA work, she worked for family-owned business, Dynamite Building Maintenance. She was a member of The River Church.

Maria was a self-taught cook and was really good at whipping up a meal. Her rice was one of the family favorites. She loved her telenovelas and would constantly be finishing one and starting a new one. She worked her way up to being a CNA, and she loved that line of work.  She then became a home health aide and moved her family to Marion to continue her career. She loved and took care of her patients and her home health residents like they were her own relation. She took care of her step-father until he was taken home to heaven. Maria loved her family. No matter what was going on, she still adored them all.
