Marlin Jay Faust, 80, of rural Wabash, Indiana, died at 7:04 am, Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Rolling Meadows Healthcare Center in LaFontaine, Indiana. He was born on January 23, 1943, in LaFontaine, to Floyd and Lucille (Frank) Faust.
Marlin was a 1961 graduate of LaFontaine High School. He married Linda D. (Farmer) Porter at the College Corner Brethren Church on November 8, 1980. Marlin worked at Chrysler in Kokomo 39 years, retiring in 2004. He was a member of College Corner Brethren Church. He enjoyed riding and raising horses, small engine repairs, and was an avid gardener.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Faust of Wabash; six children, Marlisa (Greg) Butcher of Wabash, David (Shelly) Faust of LaFontaine, Dennis Faust and Rick (Ellen) Porter, both of Wabash, Jeff (Kathleen) Porter of Prairie Grove, Illinois, and Christopher (Julie) Porter of Wabash; 16 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and his sister, Phyllis Spanier of Indianapolis, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Roger Faust.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Thursday, November 2, 2023, at College Corner Brethren Church, 8996 S. 500 W. Wabash, with Pete Frank officiating. Burial will be in Mississinewa Cemetery, Somerset. Friends may call 3-7 pm Wednesday, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash.
