Barbara Ann Edwards, 58, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 6:05 am, Saturday, October 28, 2023, at The Waters of Wabash East in Wabash. She was born on September 18, 1965, in Wabash, Indiana, to Earl William “Bill” and Peggy L. (Parker) Iholtz.
Barbara was a 1984 graduate of Whitko High School. She married Robert LaShure in Wabash on March 3, 1993; he died August 25, 2006. She then married Franklin Edwards in Wabash on May 10, 2008. Barbara was a member of the Wabash Free Will Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, yard work, and was a cat lover.
She is survived by her husband, Franklin Edwards of Wabash; sister, Gloria (Gene) Gottschalk of South Whitley, Indiana; brother, Michael (Susan) Iholtz of Huntington, Indiana; nieces and nephews, Angie Hatfield of Warsaw, Indiana, Jason Gottschalk of South Whitley, Natalie Iholtz of Huntington, Rachael Fisher of South Whitley, and Shelby Rennaker of Huntington; ten step children, Robert, Mark, Billy, Brandi, Lonnie, Virginia, Susan, Becky, Dawn, and Robin; and several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Services and burial will be 10:30 am Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at the Chapel of Remembrance Mausoleum at Memorial Lawns Cemetery, 1100 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Evangelist Tod Masters officiating. Family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 at the Chapel of Remembrance. Arrangements by Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash.
