Marilyn S. Marley

Marilyn S. Marley, 75, of Marion, passed away at 12:43 pm on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at Marion General Hospital. She was born in Marion on Tuesday, October 22, 1946, to Robert Middleton and Gladys (Burilson) Middleton-Neal. On September 17, 1976, she married Ralph Marley, and he survives.

Marilyn graduated from Marion High School and worked in production at RCA for 29 1/2 years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved traveling to Texas for 14 winters. One of her summer joys was working at Jellystone Park in Pierceton, Indiana. She loved her Savior and attending church.

In addition to her loving husband of 45 years, Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Shannon (Jerry) Smith of Logansport; sons, Jim (Deborah) Young, Jr., of Elkhart and Brady (Tammy) Young of Logansport; granddaughters, Ashley Dausman, Kelcie (Stephen) Cochrane, Courtney (Kyle) Fischer, Kodie Young, and Kylee Young; grandsons, Zach Young and Connor Young; seven great-grandchildren; and brothers, Jerry (Vikki) Middleton of Van Buren and Rex (Kim) Middleton of Van Buren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her step-father, John Neal.

At Marilyn’s request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will take place at a later date at Grant Memorial Park.

Arrangements are entrusted to Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
