Maria L. Rodriquez, 65, passed away May 23, 2018 in her Marion residence. She was born in Monterrey, Mexico to the late Antonio and Francisca (Espinoza) Tovar on March 24, 1953.
Maria came to Brownsville, Texas where she and her family lived until moving to Indiana in 1999. She married Luis Rodriquez on November 2, 1981. He survives. Maria was a homemaker and in her free time she enjoyed crocheting, listening to romantic music, gardening and working with flowers. She was a great cook, loving mother and wife and she was devoted to God.
Maria is survived also by her children, Anna L. (Marcos) Martinez; Maria G. (Jesus) Ortega; Jose L. (Guadalupe) Rodriguez; Antonio (Joanna) Rodriquez, all of Marion; Sara (Rudy) Rodriquez, Edinburg, Texas; Ruth (Adrian) Galvan, Weslaco, Texas; brothers, Ventura (Enriqueta) Tovar, Grand Rapids, Wisconsin; Hector Tovar, Brownsville, Texas; sisters, Guadalupe (Marcos) Torres, Brownsville, Texas; Marta (Hilario) Hernandez, Grantville, Georgia; Irma (Everardo) Galvan, Brownsville, Texas; Silvia Tovar, Brownsville, Texas; 21 grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her brother Antonio Tovar.
The family will receive visitors on May 30, 2018 from 4-7pm in Owen-Weilert-Duncan Funeral Home, Marion Chapel, 2722 South Washington Street, Marion, Indiana. A memorial celebration of life will be held on May 31, 2018 at 11am in Kingdom Hall, 119 North Pennsylvania, Marion, Indiana.
