Marcella May “Kitty” Jackson, 90, Marion, went to be with the Lord at 5:45 a.m. on Friday, June 15, 2018, at Marion General Hospital. She was born in Marion on May 14, 1928, to the late Tom and Zella (Lahmon) Benbow. On January 14, 1956, Kitty married the love of her life, Mark Jackson, and he survives.
Kitty worked in packaging/inspection at Glass Container. Shopping and playing Euchre were just a couple of her favorite hobbies she enjoyed. Kitty loved her family dearly and always looked forward to having her kids and their families home for the holidays. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Mark; son, Larry (Reba) Ross, Bluffton, South Carolina; daughters, Joni (Jeff) Bertram, Amboy, Cindy Pence, Marion, and Cheryl (Tim) Moses, Sweetser; grandchildren, Brian Ross, Christopher (Brenda) Anderson, Stephen (Patty) Hinze, Maggie (Ben) Mann, Alicia Bertram, Kyle (Alisha) Addington, Kylie (Travis) Bolin, Corbett (Kelly) Moses, and Courtney (Jordan) Delks; 16 great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Thelma Benbow, Joyce Jackson, and Alice Carbone.
Also preceding her in death were her sons-in-law, Rick Pence and Ernie Addington; brothers, Tommy, Newell, Art, Harmon, William, and Wayne Benbow; and sisters, Ethel Morris and Dorothy Benbow.
In accordance with the family’s wishes, there will be a private visitation and service for Kitty.
Arrangements are entrusted to Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
At the family’s request, please do not send flowers but, rather, give memorial contributions to St. James Lutheran Church, 1206 N. Miller Ave., Marion, IN 46952.
