Patricia L. Hawkins, 89, passed away June 13, 2018 in Wesleyan Health and Rehabilitation Center, Marion. She was born December 20, 1928 in Marion to the late Martin J. Edwards and Jeanette (Griffin) Crumley.
A lifelong resident of Grant County, Patricia worked for Hills Department Store. She was a former member of the Smile Seekers Clown Ministry group. Patricia attended the Twin City Bible Baptist Church and she was also a member of the American Legion and VFW. In her earlier years she enjoyed fishing and traveling. Patricia was considered by her family to be a “social butterfly” and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Patricia is survived by her children, Anna L. (Jack) Jones, Marion; James M. Hawkins, Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Jon Hawkins, Gas City; Shannon Heironimus, Fort Wayne; A.J. (Mark) Sheehe, Fort Wayne; Gretchen (Todd) Johnson, Fishers; Ryan Bran, Fort Wayne; Jake Hawkins and Joe Hawkins, both of Marion; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
She is also preceded in death by her daughters, Alicia Smith and Roberta Heironimus; brother, Norman Edwards.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 18, 2018 at 1 pm in Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion, with Chaplin Donald Miller officiating. Owen-Weilert-Duncan Funeral Home, Marion Chapel, 2722 South Washington Street, Marion was entrusted with the arrangements.
