Luis Gustavo Cuello, 66, of Marion, passed away at 6:00 am on Friday, August 19, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital and Health Services in Indianapolis. He was born in Holguín, Cuba, on December 31, 1955, to Leopoldo Cuello and Lydia Martinez. He married Cruz Maria Colon on April 6, 2001.
Luis owned and operated All Time Construction in Marion for 17 years and had previously worked for factories in the county. Some of his known projects include The Trading Post, homes within the Marion Housing Authority, Grant-Blackford facilities, The Taco Express, The Poblanita, and many other businesses and residential properties. Luis loved his craft and fed his knowledge to many. He was a member of Bethel Worship Center. He loved learning about history and watching the History Channel. More than anything, Luis loved spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his companion, Cruz Maria Cuello of Marion; step-daughters, Jessica Russell, Tina Marie Hayes, and Jestina Waisner, all of Marion; god-daughters, Jonkesha, Janita, Telisha, Jonna, Melissa, and Anna; brothers, Jorge, Leo, Alcides, Osmar, Jose, and Aroldo; sisters, Yorca, Maria, and Mayra; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; and good friend, Mary Lou Shepard.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leopoldo Cuello; mother, Lydia Martinez; son-in-law, Kennedy Russell; and good friend, Nancy Davis.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a funeral service for Luis will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Mike Henson, Sr., officiating.
