Louise May Warren

Louise May Warren, 77, Marion, went to be with the Lord in her home at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, December 7, 2018.  A lifelong resident of Grant County, Louise was born on October 1, 1941, to Raymond Alonzo and Opal Louise (Clem) Howell.  She married her loving husband, Delbert Thurman Warren, on April 10, 1971, and they shared nearly 45 years together before he preceded her in death on February 13, 2016.

Louise graduated from Jackson Township Schools and worked at General Tire for ten years, was a part-time cook with Oak Hill Community Schools, and also cleaned houses.  She was a life-time member and leader of the Girl Scouts since 1977.  She ran the cream puff booth at Mississinewa 1812 and gave all proceeds to Girl Scouts in Grant County.  She was also a den mother with the Boy Scouts, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Converse, and a member of Mier Community Church.  Louise had a heart of gold and always thought of others first.

She will be missed by her children, Barbara Bennett, Kokomo, Kevin (Tracey) Warren, Hanover, PA, Brian (Misty) Warren, Marion, and Dorinda (Aaron) Thompson, Montpelier; grandchildren, Zachary Warren, Tashina Warren, Cody Bennett, Sarah (David) Heselton, Joshua Warren, Jacob Warren, Whitney Warren, Bethany Warren, Christa Warren, Anastasia Thompson, and Shelby Thompson; great-grandchildren, Kasen Warren, Alexandra Heselton, Nathaniel Heselton, Samuel Heselton, and Elizabeth Heselton; and siblings, Earl Raymond (Phylis) Howell, Richard (Martha) Howell, Elsie Watkins, Darlena (Terry) Bilbrey, Sherry (Russell) Gates, Annette Schmidt, and Michael Howell.

The family will receive visitors from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.  An Eastern Star service will begin at 7:30 p.m..

Louise’s funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. at the funeral home on Thursday, December 13, 2018, with burial following at Converse Cemetery.  Pastor Gary Bracken will be officiating the funeral with Pastor Bruce Cameron conducting the committal at the cemetery.
