Laura Ann Dillon

Laura Ann Dillon, 85, Marion, passed away at 2:11 pm on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at Aperion Care. She was born in Rockcastle, Kentucky, on Tuesday, September 7, 1937, to George and Ida (Denney) Watkins. Laura married the love of her life, Donald Dillon on November 18, 1955.   
 
She worked at Foster Forbes, retiring in 1975. She was a member of Woodland Hills Church of Christ. She enjoyed crafts and crossword puzzles. She loved to decorate the house and liked being outside and working in the yard and taking care of her flowers.  


Survivors include her husband, Donald Dillon of Marion; daughter, Deborah (Jeffery) Clark of Sweetser; sons, Terry Lee (Kathy) Dillon of Marion, Richard Allen Dillon of Marion; grandchildren, Michael Gabbard, Amy M. (Eric) Gabbard, Scott M. (Courtney) Gabbard, Jennifer L. Dillon, Brandon A. Dillon; great-grandchildren, Jasmine Phillippe, Raiden Phillippe, Saber Phillippe, Sophie Gabbard; sisters, Katherine (Steven) Velarde of Marion, Sharon K. Rios of Marion; brothers, Stephen (Kimberly) Watkins of Marion, Kenneth G. (Lorina) Watkins of Marion, and Glen C. Watkins of Albion.


She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ida Ellen Watkins; brother, Jesse E. Watkins; daughter, Pamela J. Dillon- Jeffries; brother-in-law, Ramon Rios.


The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.


Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Laura’s life will begin at 1:00 pm with Elder Tim Purdom officiating.  Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.
