Connie Sue (Lloyd) Moreland, 61, Fairmount, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2023, at her home. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on June 28, 1962, to John Lloyd and Claudia (Armfield) Goodwin. On May 26, 1996, she married Edward “Ed” Moreland and he survives.
Connie was a caregiver; she loved taking care of her family. She loved riding her Harley Davidson with her husband. More than anything, she loved and protected her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Connie loved Jesus. She prayed and read her Bible quotes daily. She had quite the green thumb; she enjoyed her plants and loved her dogs. She enjoyed going to Florida and going to the beach.
Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Edward Moreland; children, Shaun (Chrissy) Aslinger, Angela Aslinger (Pat), and Jonathon Aslinger; grandchildren, Alexes, Kiyle, Amiyah, Brenton, and Izzy; great-granddaughter, Haisley; brother, Steve (Becky) Lloyd and Christopher (Kendra) Lloyd; sister, Rachel Taylor, Christine (Ray) Daniels, and Courtney (Shane) Dodson; Grannie Caudill; and several extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jay Aslinger; three brothers, Jimmy (Dawn) Lloyd, Johnny Lloyd, and Frank Lloyd; as well as her dog, Rossco.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, September 1, 2023 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Connie’s life will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Mick Simpkins officiating. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery.
