PERU,Indiana – Wednesday morning, the largest circus band wagon in the world was brought in to the International Circus Hall Of Fame east of Peru on SR 124. Peter Gorman of Vancouver talks about the largest circus band wagon.
The owner, from Orlando, Florida, put the band wagon up for auction. Mr. Gorman then went to Dallas, Texas, on May 14th of 2016 and was the successful bidder on the artifact. This band wagon is the most traveled of all the wagons. When the International Circus Hall of Fame came to Peru in the mid 1980’s, this artifact did not come with it and people felt that something was missing. International Hall Of Fame has been housing artifacts at the Peru winter quarters. The largest circus band wagon will be at the International Circus Hall Of Fame most of the summer and hopefully in the parade in July.
