John F. Haupthof

John F. Haupthof, 71, of Warren, IN, passed away at 2:07 PM on Monday, December 3, 2018 at Markle Health Care in Markle, IN.  He was born on Friday, September 5, 1947, in Huntington Co., IN. He married Deborah Rish on August 7, 1968 in Wells Co., IN.  John was a 1965 Graduate of Van Buren High School. Shortly after high school he joined the US Army serving from1966-1968. John had found memories growing up on his family farm and would help with the dairy cattle. He formerly worked at Weaver Popcorn and Zeller Construction. He enjoyed Mushroom Hunting, watching sports, coaching girls’ softball and was an avid IU fan. Above all, he loved spending quality time with his grandkids and watching them play ball.

Haupthof, Bloomington , IN Daughter – Reasha (Shawn) Dakin, Gas City, IN, Daughter – Marlena (John) Little, Woodstock, GA, Grandchildren – Joshua & Justin Dakin, Peyton, Chloe & Levi Little, Sister – Rosemary Zeller, Warren, IN, and Mother-in-law-Darline Rish, Van Buren, IN.

 

He was preceded in death by his: Father – Harold Haupthof, Mother – Martha Haupthof, Father-in-law-Donald Rish and Brother-in-law – Marvin Zeller.

 

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Glancy – H. Brown & Son Funeral Home 203 N Matilda St. Warren on Sunday, December 9, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

 

A service to celebrate John’s life will be at Glancy – H. Brown & Son Funeral at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 10, 2018; viewing will be held one hour prior to the service.   Dr. Tom Mansbarger will be officiating, and interment will follow in the Gardens of Memory in rural Marion. Military graveside rites will be preformed by the US Army.
